This yarn is Aran weight but Worsted Spun, meaning that the fibers were combed and spun aligned in the same direction. The advantages of this is that this yarn doesn't bloom as lofty and can therefore be treated like a worsted weight. It also means beautiful drape and stitch definition. It's perfect for cables and lacework will be more open and block better than a fluffier woolen spun yarn. It is 100% Superwash Extrafine Merino., 100g, 166m/181yards. Hand or machine wash on gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. As always, we recommend hand washing to prolong the wear and beauty of the yarn.
